An Empty Chair

“An Empty Chair” By  Pratiksha Misra From morning cereal, To an evening affair, What never was around, Was an empty chair.. From an angry state, To a cry for an extra bread to spare, What never was around, Was an empty chair.. From the fresh water fish, To the piping hot biryani, Served in a silver dish, From crying babies, To toddler care, From trying outs, To wedding outfits, What never was around, Was an empty chair.. Watch

You could watch..
As misery goes by.
You could watch..
As memories dry.
You could watch..
As life seems odd.
You could watch..
As the logic gets broad.
You could watch..
As emotions pile.
You could watch..
As senses exile.
You could watch..
As people try to explain.
You could watch..
When thoughts trigger pain.
You could watch..
As actions disrupt.
You could watch..
Or choose not to.
You could watch..
Or loose if you have to.
You could watch..
Just as we all do.
You could watch..
Until the day you don’t have to.
