A Grieving Traveler

I sat in a train again Without you... I sat with pain again Without you.. I wish you were there I wish to get back your stare I wish to share some words How I wished to look out of the window the same way as yesterday.. This journey that I start again Without you... This journey that I pause more often Without you... As there is no one to put a hand on My shoulder of disdain.. As there is no one to just make a  Harmless gesture of being insane.. How I wished to sip that cup of tea with a relentless life beyond the sea waiting to be free.. *Dedicated to my mom as she shares her feeling of loneliness after my dad passed away last year. They both used to love traveling together... * picture courtesy the author while she captures this on her train ride to  Carlisle, PA.

Seek Yourself

Be nice..
To yourself.
Put up a smile..
And dress yourself.
The journey is far..
Embrace yourself.
Don’t ask too many questions..
Guess yourself.
Ahh you are wise..
Suit yourself.
Wait for the drum roll..
I bet there wouldn’t be any.
Soon the dark will feed on you..
Without you having a clue or two.
Warm yourself.
You want to be good..
Find some food..
And stay foolishly hungry.
You don’t want to be rude..
Then obey while being sheepishly angry.
Become the odd one..
Choose the broad one..
Remember the roads wide open..
Always end up broken.
Count beyond the stars..
Don’t pretend that you know the wars..
Where people bled for freedom.
Where people had no thoughts or boredom.
There was life which was killing..
And death that came unwilling.
Sense yourself.
Smell the odor..
Of an undue favor..
Don’t sit too far..
Be afraid of the closure.
Look through windows alone..
Capture a feeling under tone..
Some people left with no other choices..
So treat yourself better..
Be present for the world..
Voice yourself..
While problems go unheard hidden behind..
The dismantle noises.
