Friendly Addiction - Culture Is Not Tradition — It Means Showing Up

Don’t talk culture to me when you don’t have the emotional quotient that goes with it. When people speak about culture, they often point to traditions, religion, heritage, or social identity. But to me, culture is something far deeper than rituals or backgrounds. Culture is the act of showing up. It is the willingness to be present when no one else is there — when trauma is difficult to process, when loss creates an endless vacuum, when grief has the capacity to swallow the life out of someone. Illusion

I know what you were going to say
When you looked at me today.
But then waking up to my dismay
It was the piercing sun Ray.
There Is a shadow which follows
Even though it seems pretty much hollow.
While falling back on your sorrow
When someone can catch you wallow.

Distance doesn’t seem too far
Keeping the invisible door ajar.
While you close your thoughts at war
A journey through eyes catches the shooting star.
Seeking is not the only destination
Where dreams promise unfold imaginations.
The one who creates a lasting impression.
Is enough to be engraved beneath your reflection.
Never picture forever
As the journey can end whenever.
Make your embark an endeavor
Without forcing a futuristic favor.
I knew that you were not going to stay
For you never created an illusion to play.
There is nothing to say
But still I think what if I may.
