Birthdays

This innocent thought came into my mind on my birthday ....which is today itself ....on 25th Aug.I am happy that i have completed another major year of my life , but at the same time i feel the loss of many innocent things on this special day .

I truly believe when its said "Childhood is the most beautiful of all life's seasons. " Because during those times we get to enjoy our life to the fullest .Though we get a lot of scolding , lot of advice , lot of homework , lot of exams ......but the most important fact of childhood is that during that period we are covered and protected by a strong shell of our parents and loved ones from the outer world .

And once that cover fades away , we get to see the true colors of life . And its during these days we really cherish our birthdays .....saluting to all my birthdays since childhood , thank you to all my loved ones who made it so indelible for me .Thank you God for you blessed me with such a Good fortune .

Its My Day Today ...............


Will get loads of good wishes the moment clock strikes twelve ,

Will dream of goodies , yummy cake , shining like an angel with fairies and elf ,

Will get a peck on cheek from mom when i open my eyes ,

Acquire a token of love from dad ,with they still wandering how fast time flies ,

Will get to see my bro awake early ......

Wishing me , kissing me and rushing back to bed quickly ........

Will get to distribute chocolates in school wearing a lovely dress ,

Roaming about classes along with a friend ,who makes effort so that i feel like a Princess.

Will get to celebrate at home with mummy's delicious food ,

With hearty laughs , loud music , getting everyone into festive mood .

Yes , you guessed right .......I am talking about my Birthday ........

Those days of my life still make me childish ,

How Innocent was the time ......I Cherish ....

Friends used to be none less than soul mate ,

On birthdays their happiness so genuine ,wishes never late .

Teachers used to keep their hands on our forehead ,

Their wishes were to save us as we go ahead .

Now birthdays pass as fast as the train ,

We are growing up , is the reality and pain.

Its pretty common that friends forget to wish ,

They were busy , you can't call them selfish.

Need to get sweets for none other than your boss,

So that during appraisals you are not in for Toss.

Birthday's are no big deal , Its just your Team's free booze with meal .

You get gifts which are expensive , But for those you don't feel possessive.

You still love those hand made cards...................

and flowers which were picked up from your own yards .

Its Just the feeling which makes you Special .................

with the ones who love you and miss your presence ,

Celebrate your birthday with them ...........

You will realize the same Essence .
